Atlantic
Coast Cutting
Horse Association
(ACCHA)
Dear Atlantic Coast Cutter,
I’m a member of the Executive Committee of the Atlantic Coast Cutting Horse Association, which is a 27-year affiliate member of the National Cutting Horse Association.
I’d like to invite you to join an initiative to benefit our sport and all those who love it in our part of the country. This invitation is offered free of charge to anyone who is already a member of a Cutting Horse Association. There is no desire to compete with any existing association; in fact, it is our hope that this endeavor will strengthen all of the associations. The successful Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association is an example we can emulate.
Undoubtedly there can be strength in numbers. To that end I’m proposing that all cutters east of the Mississippi join the Atlantic Coast Cutting Horse Association and band together to better our sport for the good of all. Our goal will be to enhance the recognition of our horse owners and competitors. Our plan is to establish an Atlantic Coast Hall of Fame with annual awards. Our dream is to become an organization that leads the industry by example creating commerce and unity in cutters from the East.
With all of the eastern and southern associations to draw from, we have the potential to create a membership of several thousand. These numbers will attract the attention of potential sponsors and elicit opportunities to benefit you, your association and your sport. Join others like yourself who enjoy cutting and would like to see the horses, owners and riders from this part of the country get the recognition they deserve.
How can you become involved? I invite you to share your ideas, to join our Board of Governors, to become a member, to become a sponsor. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
M. D. “Dee” Babcock
